Taglikid was discovered by Amando as a perfect land for the Ursos family that needs lands because Ubay Bohol and Pitogo Island were already occupied therefore some Ursos families were landless in Bohol.. Therefore Taglikid was a dreamed place of the Ursos away from Tagaluahan of Basiao Bohol
After the war Amando Ursos was awarded with the American head quarters of lands in Catalunan grande and he worked asa a salesman in Davao City.
Marciano Ursos his nephew, the son of Dikoy Ursos and Amada Sente in Popoo eager to follow Amando to seek opportunities . Marciano requested Amando to help him find a land so Amando advised him to go to Taglikid because he knows it very well. So Marciano went to Taglikid and found a land for them so Amando followed Marciano and bought the lands from the Cerna families( the manobo natives residing in Taglikid
